Hope and Looking Forward to Things

Picture from ebbemunk.dk

Well, I'm excited! It is exactly six days until my retreat. I went to the same retreat last year, but this year,  I know it'll be completely different. It's amazing how things work out... This time last year, I was terrified of choosing and applying to a college. I thought it was an impossible task; a jabberwocky of sorts. I didn't believe that I could actually do something like that. One year later, I realize that this retreat (all along) was being hosted at my future college, the college that I will be going to in the fall. The college that I thought was light years away. God really does always have a plan in the works... When I was most scared about something, my future was unfolding literally right in front of my eyes. And of course, I couldn't see it. At all. So this year, I'll certainly be less anxious. Security surely does go along with hope I think. Everyone who is secure in themselves and in their futures needed the hope that they could achieve that. I wish I had more hope back then and really enjoyed where I was at the time. But, you can always learn from things that turn out well. Especially when it was questionable that they'd "turn out" at all. What an interesting flower!

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
